Project Overview
ILLUME is a 52-second kinetic typography animation set to “Flash” by 2hollis. The lyrics carry the story of wanting to be seen, rising toward fame and collapsing under the pressure. The type moves, melts and distorts with the music, supported by particle and glitch effects in a dark, neon palette.

Challenges
The track shifts quickly between very different emotions. The type had to stay readable while it moved, distorted and broke apart, and every word had to land on the beat.
Achievements
Built a four-part structure, Pull → Surge → Burst → Calm Reset, that mirrors the song’s emotional arc.
Gave each part its own animation principles, from easing and slow timing to exaggeration and overlapping action.
Timed particle splits, bursts and glitch effects to the vocals and instruments.
Expressed fame pressure through duplication, vibration and fragmentation.
